This year, the City will supply 3 garbage trucks. There will NOT be a truck dedicated to compostable material. The City will collect compostable material in the garbage trucks but encourage residents to use their green bins for as much household and yard compostable material as possible. The link below has a complete list of items that the City will/will not accept at the event.
Clean-up Items We Accept

The City of Calgary will NOT be providing Blue Bin recycling bins for any community cleanup events. The link below contains a list and map of City of Calgary community recycling sites.

TVs (LCD/CRT or Plasma)
Computer Systems
Computers (Monitors, mice, keyboards & speakers)
Computer parts (Cables, Cords, fans, power supplies, Hard drives for destruction, CPU, ram chips and boards)
Laptops, notebooks, tablets and E-readers
Printers, Fax Machines, Copiers and Scanners
Wires and cables

Items not Accepted for recycling:

Liquids of any kind (gas, paint or chemical)
Compressed cylinders (propane tanks, fire extinguishers)
Hazardous waste (Thermostats, Smoke Detectors)
Household batteries (Alkaline)
Large appliances (stoves, washing machines, dryers or dishwashers)
Anything with Freon (fridges, AC units or water coolers) Fluorescent light fixtures or bulbs
